Dear Aspirants,
Education plays a pivotal role in the development of society by aptly articulating human personality at the formative stage. Realising the importance of technical and professional education for development of educationally backward Malwa region of the State, Bhai Gurdas Charitable Trust ventured to enter the management and engineering areas by opening BGIMT and BGIET in the years 1999 and 2002 respectively. Remarkable success of these institutions & keen interests and enthusiasm of people of area goaded the trust to make another stride for meeting the long felt needs of the area in the field of legal education by establishing BGCL in 2003. Since its inception, BGCL has strived hard for catering to the needs of the area by imparting standard legal education of modern relevance. Within a short period, the institute succeeded in realising its mission of creating awareness of rights and duties among the people of the area and enable them to become productive members of the society. Earnest endeavour of experienced and dedicated staff coupled with application of modern technical and information technology based teaching aids put the academic graph of the college at the national level as well as bringing Sangrur on the map of India. I am confident that in the coming session, the promising and talented students from across the country will enter the portals of BGCL and bring laurels by their academic achievements.
About the Chairman
Sh. H.S. Jawandha, Chairman of Bhai Gurdas Group of Institutions, is a versatile personality. His farsighted vision is progressive and pragmatic. His relentless efforts and devotion for promotion of professional and employment oriented education has made Sangrur an educational centre of excellence. His philanthropist approach is proving very helpful for the underprivileged people of the area whose promising wards are getting professional education which is a rare phenomenon in self financed private institutions. The missionary zeal of the Chairman is being realized as many students of the institutions are getting employment avenues in India and abroad.
